Economic Policy Advisor - Washington, D.C.
Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, an incoming member of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Development Committee, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Economic Policy Advisor to lead a diverse portfolio, including financial services, taxes, trade, economic development, and related policy areas. This position will lead the Senator’s work on the Banking Committee. Additional responsibilities across their portfolio include developing and executing a legislative and oversight agenda in coordination with the Legislative Director; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legislation, amendments, and memoranda; monitoring and analyzing key policy developments; and managing the process for nominations related to their portfolio before the Banking Committee and other related nominations. Candidates must have excellent writing and analytic skills and prior experience or knowledge working on banking, economic development, taxes, and trade issues. Previous Hill experience, a graduate degree in a related field, and Delaware ties are preferred.
