Legislative Assistant, Environment and Public Works (EPW) - Washington, DC
Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, an incoming member of the Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Legislative Assistant to handle the environment, energy, natural resources, and related issues portfolio. This position will lead the Senator’s work on EPW. Additional responsibilities across their portfolio include developing and executing a legislative and oversight agenda in coordination with the Legislative Director; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legislation, amendments, and memoranda; monitoring and analyzing key policy developments; and managing the process for nominations considered by EPW and across their portfolio. Candidates must have excellent writing and analytic skills and prior experience or knowledge working on environment, energy, natural resources, and related policy issues. Previous Hill experience, a graduate degree in a related field, and Delaware ties are preferred.
